Dr Chloe Chen is a dedicated early-career empirical corporate finance scholar with experience spanning academia, industry, and applied policy work. Currently serving as a sessional academic at Macquarie University, she teaches and convenes units in corporate finance, portfolio management, financial modelling, financial data science, and risk management. She possesses a unique skill set encompassing empirical research design, advanced econometric analysis, and corporate finance expertise, with strong capabilities in capital structure, debt contracting, and risk analytics. Her teaching is consistently highly rated, and she was nominated for the Macquarie University Student-Nominated Teaching Award in 2024.
Prior to academia, Chloe worked as an analyst in investment banking and financial services at Phoenix Tree Capital, Yanboon Human Capital Investment Group, and AIA Group, where she developed strong analytical, organisational, and project management skills that inform her academic practice.
